Kingston’s Camp is a great place to work! Our atmosphere is relaxed and fun, with an emphasis on safety. Our focus is providing a fun learning experience for the campers. We want to create great memories for all who participate at Kingston’s Camp. All staff members must have a love for children and the outdoors. The staff realizes that we are role models for children and act accordingly. Available positions will be posted on our Bulletin Board. Our Staff consists of the following positions.

Director: Oversees the daily operations of the camp. Facilitates communication between counselors, waterfront, assistant counselors, junior counselors, counselors in training and gophers. Assists counselors in determining activities. Responsible for communication with parents and guardians. Minimum Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree, or 6 years Kingston’s Camp experience. First Aid, CPR.

Lifeguard: Oversees waterfront operations. Responsible for swim instruction, boating, sailing instruction and safety of waterfront.
Minimum Qualifications: RI DEM Certified Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, Water Safety Instruction. Experience in canoeing, kayaking and sailing.

Assistant Lifeguard: Assists Lifeguard in waterfront activities.
Minimum Qualifications: RI DEM Certified Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR.

Counselors: Responsible for and teaches daily activities.
Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate, Working on Baccalaureate degree in education, human services or environment or have 4 years Kingston’s Camp experience. Must be 21.

Assistant Counselors: Assists counselors in teaching and developing daily activities. Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate. Working towards college degree in education, human services or environment or have 1 year Kingston’s Camp experience. Must be 18.

Junior Counselors: Responsible for guiding campers to each activity in a timely basis. Assists counselors, assistant counselors and waterfront as needed. Must be 16.

Counselor in Training: Assisting where needed. Must have Gopher experience and finished 9th grade.

Gopher: Orientations of new campers, assisting where needed. Must have been a Kingston’s Camper and be entering 7th,,8th or 9th grade.
